LHAS Challenge Week 1 Check In

Well, I started off dynamic, and fizzled into nothing. Blah! I hate that. But, it has helped motivate me for making some changes this next week. I have to if I want to get anywhere. I can't be so passive, that's for sure. If I really want this, I have to grab it and DO IT!

My week actually started off great. And then the weekend happened. It was a weekend spent at a kickbutt Pearl Jam concert on Friday which spiraled to me slipping up the rest of the weekend plus.

And then I find myself feeling horrible about it. Horrible about how I look...honestly HORRIBLE about this. My stomach was sour. I was a mess. I'm not feeling MUCH better...but I'll get with it.

So, I had a gain on the good ole work scale this morning. Up to 156.4. Deserved it. Oh, and I have heavier clothes on today too...I know that contributes to SOME of it...but not nearly all. I deserved it like I said. From the partying on Friday night, to the cake I was shoveling in for my sons' b-day, yeah, I deserved it.

I also SUCKED with my workouts/activity last week. I worked out what...2 days. Jeez! Gonna have to step it up a notch!!!

So...that's how week 1 of the LHAS went for me. PHOOEY!

OMG you stole my post! I started out last week with 100 minutes of exercise on the first day, then fizzled out to almost nothing over the week.

Here's to getting it back this week!

Ah shit happens. You had fun. You enjoyed yourself. No need to beat yourself up about it. Falling is only failing if you don't get back up again. The beautiful thing about life is we get another chance to do it right every day.

Don't look back, keep looking forward. You can't change what you did last weekend anyway. I'm sure you'll do better this week.

I bet that concert was a blast. Sometimes we just have to take some time off and enjoy ourselves. It is not the end of the world and you can rock it out this week!

Looks like falling-off-the-wagonitis is going around...

I fell off the front of the wagon and it rolled over me.

I hopped back on today...so will you!

Don't beat yourself up :) My philosophy is that if you treat your body with kindness, no matter what you do, your body will respond better. It is better to acknowledge that you could have perhaps done better, or know that you did something good for yourself, than to be negative.

2 days of working out is better than no days. And I have a little one...I think it's totally okay to have a crummy week, if that meant for me to get to eat cake and ice cream with him for his birthday! :) Yum...and worth it! :) Wishing you lots of luck and success towards comment/goal of not being so passive this next week! You can do it! :) Maybe your kiddos want to play tag after/before dinner! :)

Don't get too down on yourself--just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and hit it again. You can do it!
